Need advice with my new boss

In no way do I think I’m attractive, but I think my new manager might possibly fancy me? He calls me every day and sometimes I come off the call thinking you could have just sent me a message on Teams. I have spoken to other members of my team and none of them said he calls them as much as he calls me.

I met him for the first time in the flesh the other day and every meeting we attended he sat right next to me. I even caught him looking at me a few times!!!

He is in a relationship and he knows I’m in a relationship too with a child.

I really enjoy taking to him and he is a great support but my worry is how this looks to the rest of my team.

Get over this. You're putting your job and relationship at risk.

This is nothing.

Or maybe he's being supportive and helpful to the new staff member - because that's good management, and once you settle in and are up to speed you'll need less support?

That's more likely.

Just start being a lot more curt on the calls. Be in a hurry. Be busy.
Try not to be alone with him.
Mention your partner whenever possible.

'Oh yes John and I watched Stanger Things last night. I had to hide behind him it was so spooky' etc... basically make it even dent tou have a close relationship and are smitten.

Just be careful. They might be using you to find their feet.

We had a new boss get to close to a team member, it was so visible, until a big row at the Christmas party as the boss then must have realised they were getting in to deep and tried to switch their affections to another team member. So cringy and as a result of the melt down that ensued people heard ugly stuff that really was best not said.

One by one all the people who were at that Christmas do left or lost their jobs except for the two originally involved.

My ex colleague kept their job because of their productivity and my hat goes off to them they still work for the same company today but they were badly hurt.

We’ve got two new starters joining our team tomorrow so I hope they both keep him busy but I have a feeling he will point them towards my direction so it’s another excuse for him to talk to me.
