Interview

Had an interview on Teams.
Interviewer arrived 5 mins late no apology.
Interview felt v stilted, not a conversation, no selling the job, setting the scene …what do you know about us, then few random questions.
feel deflated…

I frequently hear from people that remarkably few interviewers seem to have decent interviewing skills.

Sorry this was such a disappointment for you. Was there any indication as to 'next steps' and when you might hear something?

I had this experience yesterday! Really weird. I was very excited about it and came away wondering whether I want the job at all.

Mine weren't quite five mins late but not far off and very odd questions, not much info about the company even when I asked questions and one of the panel was really scowly 😠 <---- like this. The other panel member had her dog wandering on and off screen. I like dogs but it seemed a bit odd in an interview setting.......

Anyway, you have my sympathies!!

I won't find out about it until Friday apparently so have just chalked it up to experience. I don't think I'll get it; they barely seemed interested.

Thanks both at least it’s not just me.

Mine was at least 5 mins late I started to think he wasn’t joining and when he did no apology.

Was an odd experience and left me feeling flat…don’t think I want the job now as it felt strained and they would be my boss…

I had high hopes as I need a job been looking a while …it’s a temp role so should here asap.

No info given to me about the company etc just asked what I know about them …then few random questions fired at me.

Will have to chalk it up to experience 😒

Last remote interview I’ll ever partake in, the interviewers forgot to mute themselves, guess they are/were just speaking the truth about how they hate interviews more than jobseekers. Thanks for the lovely Revelation.

I’ve had job offers back and forth over a fortnight of paperwork bothering only to start members of management who were the ones dealing with said paperwork struggle to remember your name. Makes you wonder who exactly do they think they are contacting/contacted.

That’s awful @Guttedme !

Teams interviews seem to be the way forward now.

Lot of bad interviewers out there, on reflection mine was rude turned up late no apology and then tell me what you know about this company…he gave zero information.

I’ve slept on it and thought nah stuff it
