Not so much an AIBU but posted this in work chat and go no response.
I'm 33 this year I work in an office role okay pay for what I do but a 50 minute commute all together each day. I'd love a job working from home I do admin at the minute.
Do you work from home and if so what do you do?? I feel a bit like time is running out for me.

Time is really on your side - if retirement age stays at 67 you have another 34 years of work left, that's longer than you've even been alive.

I don't WFH, but I have a 2 mile commute each way. I'm 37 been here 5 years, my first ever 'career' job and I applied for it with only half the experience they were looking for, I just got taken on in a more junior role at the time with an agreed timescale to work to the advertised one. They're now putting me through a degree and have been a thoroughly great employer.

Time is NOT running out - you are 33 not 63!! Also 50 mins commute is only 25 mins each way, that is quite a good commute in my book - I only travel 5.5 miles and it takes me longer than that due to rush hour traffic.

Do you have any Universities near you? We have a number of professional services staff who work from home full-time. I do hybrid, 3 days in the office, 2 from home which I find a nice balance.

Hi there is a college but I'm still not sure what it is exactly I'd like to do 🤔 it would just be practical to work from home but I'd also like to do something new
