Pls can you all help me work this out pls
Especially does in payroll pls

Paid weekly & I do overtime every week.

Week 1 work missed overtime payment & I called, it was paid instantly & told it will show as deducted on next weeks payslip.

Week 2, wages paid but £A + other taxes deducted from wages

Week 3, wages paid but £A + other taxes deducted from wages

This £A deduction went on till week 6

I called work & they said it was an error on their part and that £A x 4weeks will be refunded
But I am thinking the refund should be £A X 5weeks not 4weeks

Am I right?

No because in your week 1 scenario there was no deduction at all. So there should be one deduction. There were 5 weeks where deductions were made. So 5-1 = 4 weeks refund

Agreed 5 weeks of deductions, one is correct for the advance in week 1 so 5 - 1 = 4 weeks.
