Customer service interview tips!

This afternoon I have a phone interview for a customer service role with a large finance company.
Entry level and remote working.

The interview itself is only 15 minutes so I'm not too sure what to expect. Would really welcome any advice or tips. My current role started during lockdown with not much passed "when can you start?" !!

I am bricking it tbh but do know that somewhere in that 15 mins I need to discuss flexibility of shift patterns/hours.

I work in customer services and usually the interviewer will ask questions like:

"Describe a time you delivered excellent customer service to a customer"

"What qualities can you bring to the role"?

It is usually them kind of questions.

It maybe worth reading up on the STAR technique which most employers use.

Good luck with your interview!

It's only 15 minutes so it seems like a screening call, they'll want to hear you speaking to assess your telephone manner, check that you can do the hours, have the right set up at home, possibly some housekeeping around notice period, salary expectations and they may ask for your experience in customer service. I'd anticipate that there may be a more lengthy discussion or an assessment if there are no issues identified in this screening call.

Thank you. It occurred to me just a short while ago this may only be a screening call but there is nothing in the email to indicate this.
Oh well, will have to wait and see
