Job interview after half term

I got a phonecall this afternoon offering me a job interview at my sons school for a lunchtime supervisor it's a job I actually really want to do plus it fits around my children in school and half terms/holidays, Whilst I wait for the email for further information about the job interview has anyone applied for a job like this and what questions were asked?. I'm wanting to be prepared for any possibilities.

I don't know if they'd do this for a midday supervisor role. - but at the school I was governor for we would always have some children drop into the interview to show us a picture or something, to see how the candidate interacted with them. One candidate I helped employ got the job before the interview because they arrived early and we loved the way she interacted with the kids while she was waiting.

Research safeguarding in schools, safeguarding is king so it would be amazing to be able to drop it in. Wouldn't be surprised if they ask a question about it, but if not then get it in somewhere that you understand the principles (and show you do) and how important it is to you personally.

Say why you want the job, but bear in mind it's a bit annoying when candidates just say oh the hours are perfect because I'm a parent. That is true - but instead of that talk about the other reasons so they can see you really want to do that job rather than those convenient hours.

What to do if a child is upset
What to do if a parent asks you a question about children or staff
Why you want the job

@youveturnedupwelldone thank you for the reply, I've recently finished a level 2 course on safeguarding and wellbeing for children and young people so I guess that'll come in favour for me like you said, I'm actually not nervous all though it's not till November I'm really excited, thank you for the tips I'll write them down and revise till my day comes
