Hi! I’ve been looking at travel franchises however the cost has been prohibitive, I came across InteleTravel but have read that it’s mostly an MLM which I’m absolutely not interested. Can anyone shed any insight into if you have (or know of someone) who has made money from this just on travel sales and not the MLM side
thanks!

Retired senior travel exec here with 40 years experience.

My advice would be don’t do it unless you are a qualified travel agent with a min. 2/3 years experience.

If only working in travel was as easy as booking holidays.🙄In my day it took 2 years to qualify plus we had to take loads of exams. Admittedly this was pre internet days but learning the airline systems and how they work, even now, can be complicated with the various rules and regulations. If everyone wants to book a straightforward Tui or Jet2 holiday with no issues it would be fine but the industry isn’t like that. I still belong to a very popular travel forum - only open to agents or retired agents - where agents with many, many years experience are asking advice daily. You can’t just walk into this industry - you need to build up contacts. Believe me, without those if you make a mistake it can cost you thousands of your own money.

This is a profession, not a sideline. Don’t do it! It’s akin to taking a first aid course and expecting to be a nurse.

Hi. I am with Intele. You can just purchase a travel franchise and don't have to be involved in the marketing side of the business at all. It's optional. I can answer abt questions
