Continuous Service - does time worked self employed count?

I suspect I know the answer to this one - I have worked for the same company since September 2019 - except for a 3 week break between contracts in 2021, when I took some leave to visit my Mum, and a new contract was issued on my return.

Between 2019 - Jan 2022 I was self employed, then moved to a PAYE contract, then fixed term.

My current FTC is ending in December, a day before I would be due redundancy based on 2 years continuous employment (as PAYE, then FTC). I just wanted to double check that my time working for the company in a self employed capacity doesn't contribute to my continuous employment? I suspect sadly I know the answer....
