Would you go to work?

Going on a work trip, travel agent booked flights back from Los Angeles. Flying Economy Plus. Land into London in the morning of a work day. Would you go to work?

I can work from home that day, but I know I’ll be exhausted. I don’t sleep properly on planes. Last trip to LA I slept 3 hours… in business class. Would anyone else wfh and just sleep half the day rather than work?

Is there nothing in your contract about this? You were travelling for work overnight so should be some provision in place.

No I wouldn't, unless they've upgraded you to a seat with a suitable bed?

TulipsTulipTulips · 02/10/2023 09:59

Fuck no. I also wouldn’t fly that far for work in cattle class.

Absolutely not!
When you're in LA, you're effectively working 24/7 because you're away from home at their behest. Mentally it's draining, tends to be long days on etc so when you get back, of course you need to just sleep and get back into home mode.

God no take the day off!

Nope, and I wouldn't be using up my holiday to have a day off either.
