If your mother in law died, would you expect to be allowed compassionate leave for the funeral having given a few weeks notice

Those that work in education are usually granted paid compassionate leave as they are unable to take holiday and often it’s more hassle to remove a days pay than not.

it’s foul that other commercial companies don’t pay compensation leave. Shocking really.
