Band 6 interview advice

I've got an interview next week for a band 6 position looking for interview advice and tips. I'm coming from outside of the NHS, it's a non-clinical post.

I was offered a band 7 earlier this year but the post fell through due to funding/budgets. That was a management/strategic role so I'm wondering how the band 6 questions might differ?

They also had band 7 positions advertised which closed on the same date as the band 6. I also applied for both but have not heard about interviews for the band 7s, it still says 'application under review.' Obviously I'd prefer the band 7 job as it's better paid but if I'm offered the band 6 would I be able to accept and then withdraw if I'm successful for the band 7?

I'm not sure about interview tips for a non clinical post, but NHS interviews are points based so try and mention as much as possible within each question to try to get the points.

And yes you would be able to withdraw from the band 6 if you were then successful with a band 7.

Good luck with all interviews!
