Think I’ve made a mistake moving to a new job and I could honestly cry!
My new job, despite being significantly higher paid is so rigid & old fashioned :(
During interviews they said they wanted creativity & new ideas but in so many ways they’re so stuck in the past I don’t even know where to start.
As an example at a client event this week senior managers insisted on printing out sheets of paper stuck with cello tape on magnetic boards to capture potential leads when we had the option of a digital screen.
Just printed on a normal printer, not like a designed marketing poster and it looked so scruffy I was actually embarrassed.
Its also very admin heavy which wasn’t mentioned whatsoever during interviews, I was expecting to be managing projects and I’m the one being asked to circulate actions & coordinate diaries for meetings…
Just needed a place to vent!!
