Employment Tribunal - Witness Statement

I have been asked to prepare a witness statement for an Unfair Dismissal ET - Briefly it is for an ex-colleague against the company we have in common. (So I am providing a statement for the claimant - had I not been it probably would have been on behalf of the respondent. I feel a bit stuck in the middle)

I am struggling to find information on how to format it - I can find lots about the structure if it for the claimant, but not a third party witness. Does anyone have any tips please? It is more just the very first part, rather than my actual statements.

So this is one example template I have found, do I put about my employment? (is it relevant that I still work there for example) or just theirs?

Thanks

Your ex-colleague's legal adviser should help you.

Do you still work for the company in question? If so, that puts you in a tricky position.

Thank you. Yes, I do still work there. I feel very much caught in the middle and dragged into something unwillingly in a way. Either way I would have been pulled into it.

Reading the bundle was certainly an eye-opener. All I can (and should) do is be honest about my observations.

As pp said your legal team should advise you.

When I have had to do them I have started with personal details, current job and relevant job history.
