Really awful interview this week.

Hi all
had a really awful interview this week. It was a 30 mins stakeholder discussion - members of the team asking questions

a data exercise 30 mins on teams

then presentation and interview on hour on teams

at the start of the data exercise we had a power cut - no power or Wi-Fi.

I emailed from phone and spoke to admin to explain.

i should have said that I could not do it.

but instead headed to a more public place to get Wi-Fi. I delivered the presentation. There was quite a lot of background noise so I was struggling to hear them. My sound was cutting out at times. In what was already a stressful situation it felt 100 times more stressful and I lost concentration so could not think to answer the questions clearly.

I was absolutely exhausted afterwards.

needless to say I did it get the job.

Don’t think I’ve any where I’ve gone on to get the job.

I remember nearly falling over steps in a building society mortgage office nearly 2 decades ago, perhaps it was hilarious though I didn’t ever hear back about that job outcome even. Sorry no comedy landing in an offer here. The opposite nothing but stress when you can’t get anything to work and it’s a remote job, no laughs sorry.
