Hi all,
I’m after some advice please as I’m currently two months into a maternity leave position covering a manager of a small team. The person I am covering is still involved the recruitment of the team and any strategic decisions that affect the team despite being ‘on leave’. I understand going on maternity leave is difficult and my job is just a ‘guardianship’ of the role but as she is still involved it feels pointless me even being there! I also don’t feel like I can properly manage the team as she is still in the picture.
I know there’s laws around how much an employer can contact an employee on maternity leave but is there anything the other way around?!
