Excited but scared - Promotion

I recently received a promotion after several years of being in the same job and now coming back from maternity leave. I work less days but in my new role I will do one extra day but they pay is around 11k more from the last role. It is a next step in my career but I have a 2 years old child starting preschool.
I have accepted the promotion but I am also scared about what would it mean and how I will feel.
PS - I definitely needed to accept the promotion and pay rise as my husband's current job is at risk and he is finishing his role soon.
Any suggestions to make this move easier ?

Also, being in this job for several years has made me comfortable here and I am wondering how many people just decide to leave while I am feeling so nervous about it.

Read about 'imposter syndrome' - this is very common in the newly promoted. You wouldn't have been given the job if you weren't capable, but it's natural to be worried when you step out of your comfort zone.

Prepare yourself to make the switch from being the experienced person who knows everything, to a person who is at the start of a learning curve, because that can be hard to get used to.

Think about who will be your allies and stakeholders in the new role, where you can find support.

Remember that when you are new to role, it's normal to make mistakes - this is part of learning.
