DWP WORK COACH APPLICATION

Purplefog · 15/09/2023 05:27

Hi has anyone applied for DWP work coach in either mid north wales or merseyside? I have to do a pre recorded interview but I'm nervous, I did one last week for a different role and completely messed it up through lack of preperation! I've manage to write a list of questions that they may ask but the list has 25 questions on, I can't prepare in depth for all of them so any tips on knowing which ones? (They're all based on the behaviours they've said they're going to be looking for)

Also does anyone know to get your SJT and sift score? I've seen on threads you should be able to see it and on the application It says it will be available straight away but I can't see it anywhere!

Don't know about the interview, but if you log in to CS Jobs, go to applications, select the one your talking about by clicking on whatever js in the application status column, there should be a green feedback button, press that and your scores will be there if any were entered.

Purplefog · 17/09/2023 12:14

Thank you, I've had a look and there's no option on any of them to see the feedback. The only feedback option is for me to provide feedback on the application process. Frustrating as it would help me when applying for another role and it says in the advert that everyone will receive results for the SJT and I've seen that others have managed to see their results. Ah well. Guess I'll find out in about a month when I hear back!

Have you heard anything back from Merseyside work coach application process

Purplefog · 12/10/2023 16:38

No not yet, I've had the interview. I applied for a credit reviewer role too and that took 5 weeks from interview to hear back I'm guessing it's all similar wait times

Hi Have you heard back yet?

Tharadc · 06/11/2023 06:39

Nothing yet, my status chaged week before last they will get in touch sooner nothing since

Purplefog · 06/11/2023 10:06

Hey I heard back from the north wales role but nothing from the merseyside role!

Hi can you please share the 25 questions you have? If thats okay

Tharadc · 06/11/2023 10:13

Were you successful in wales one?

Purplefog · 06/11/2023 13:47

I was offered it but I'd already accepted an offer for the ucr role so have declined.

I can't find my list of questions but type in 'dwp work coach interview questions glassdoor' and I got them all from there and can confirm out of the 3 interviews I've done the questions were all a variation of the ones mentioned on glassdoor.

I did my pre recorded interview for dwp work coach and I don't think it went well.

Does anyone know if they will still take into account the scored from your application and situational judgement test when making the final decision??

The pre recorded format wasn't as easy as I had hoped. I ended up zoning out half way through answers and don't even know if I answered the questions.

Purplefog · 30/06/2024 16:09

So results from the SJT don't count at interview. You get marked on each interview question out of 7. I royally screwed up my first video interview and was shell-shocked when I was offered it. I did no preparation, made up random words and just lost the plot however I did get it. Doesn't matter if you zoned out what matters is that you answered The question and your answer ticked the boxes for the strengths and behaviours. Be prepared for a fair wait to hear back - usually between 3 and 9 weeks and can then take a good amount of time to get a start date too.
Was it a work coach role you applied for? Ig so they are constantly recruiting so you can always try again on the next one. Good luck x

Thank you for your response. Makes me feel hopeful.

I mean not only did I zone out, I was speaking as if I had never spoken before. Couldn't put words together. I don't even remember the questions which were asked and who knows if I actually provided an answer to them.

I was hoping they may still consider the fact I have the skills which I outlined in my application and scored pretty well in the SJT.

Nevermind, whatever is meant for me will be.

Unfortunately not, it's 100% based on the score you get and also the scores of the other interviewees. I got 24 on my first one which is fairly low but I got it.

I would definetly reapply when more come up, I applied for I think 4 or 5 more because I was adamant I hadn't got this one and I did much better in the following interviews, scores of like 30 which are pretty high. I prepared for lots of questions and had a load of answers in spider diagrams because you can look at notes during the interview.

Such a shame!

The interview only had 3 questions aswell which I found weird because from what I have read, most people have had 6 or 7.

Anyway time will tell soon enough 🙂 I'll keep you all posted.

Just an update. Despite feeling like I massively failed that interview I have been successful and placed on the reserves list.

Although I have already accepted another provisional offer at HMRC and waiting for my pre-employment checks to go through. Longest recruitment process of all time! I'm hanging in there.
