Newly pregnant - but scared of telling work.
I’m 5 weeks 3 days pregnant.
I’m already scared of telling my work I’m pregnant, I’ve been there for 5 months. We don’t have a probation period we just have formal monthly 1:1s and weekly informal catch ups.
My formal 1:1s have been perfect since I’ve started, teething issues & room for improvement in minor areas- but overall my manager is super happy.
I’m just worried that this would change if I say I’m pregnant, my manager hasn’t got kids of her own as she doesn’t ‘like’ children. She often asks how my eldest daughter is though, so I think it’s more so ‘off her own’.
I’m scared & i know they can’t discriminate, but I’m scared she will find a way to manage me out.
