Is vaping on conference calls a thing?

What it says in the tin really…at work this week I had a video call with a colleague, we both work from home. In the middle of the call she vaped and I was a bit taken aback! I suppose it’s no big deal, she’s in her home, people she’s speaking with can’t smell it. If anything in fact it’s better than someone heading out regularly for smoking breaks. Nonetheless I was surprised. I’ve never seen this before and almost all my working time for the last 2 years has been internal conference calls.

Does this happen where you work?

See I think it is different because I could drink a cup of coffee at my desk in the office but couldn't vape. So home office (at least when on video calls) would be the same.

I don't vape and can't say I'd be that fussed if someone else did but I don't think it's comparable to coffee drinking.

Yes, I've on zoom ns with people smoking, vaping drinking wine

Maybe im weird..but i dont even vape as a client or in any video call unless with a friend on a social call.

I just feel its rude, like i was to take a call halfway through with them still on video. Or start texting..

If im that desperate i guess i would take a quick puff off camera.
