Under/Over Qualified for Everything?

I returned to work after maternity leave this week and was looking forward to being back. However it’s just made me realise how crap I feel about my job.

I feel like I’m both under qualified and over qualified for this job, and all jobs I see advertised. I have a first class MEng degree but there are no jobs in that field where I live (can’t move due to step child and other commitments).

I had a grad job in operations but currently work from home (with some site travel) in logistics for the same company as it was a ‘development opportunity’ . The working from home is ideal as I have a small child in nursery round the corner but I have no experience in logistics and training has been limited so feel like I’m constantly fumbling my way through.

I want to change my career but have no idea what I’d even want to do/what I’d be good at, and feel like no one would hire me anyway due to incompatible experience/education. I just don’t know where to start - does anyone feel the same/have any advice?
