Worried about being managed out.

Just a hunch really.
NHS AHP. Just witnessed a colleague being managed out which was deeply unpleasant really and made me feel vulnerable.
Signs are: manager has told me I lack confidence and wants me to find ways to improve my confidence.hmmmm...i feel my confidence has improved greatly of late.
She has actually suggested counselling which I admit I need.
I got a week of 54 hours which was too much. When I told my boss I was exhausted she said it was because I owed them 16 hours which is ok I guess.
She has now put another week of heavy hours on on me.
Sadly, this has happened to me a few times in the past

Why do you think they are managing you out?

That just sounds like they are short of resource, know you owe them some hours and are recouping them to me.

I guess I am paranoid as I watched my colleague being managed out. I don't like the fact that they think i'm not confident. That upsets me.

You don't know the truth of what happened with your colleague. And you shouldn't know.

I'm finding it hard to understand your problem with time keeping. If you owe a lot of hours, then obviously you have to work them back.

If they need you to be more confident, then that is what they need. What do they mean? Have you asked?

Hope long have you been in this role?

I've been in this role for a year and I was bullied in my last 2 roles so i have lost some confidence. Having said that, I believe I have come a long way since starting.

How come you owe so many hours?

That's a lot to rank up.
