New job - maternity and probation

I am 2 months pregnant and have been offered a position in a new company. I'd start in 4 months so I'd be about 6 months pregnant when I start.
The probationary period is 6 months so I'd likely go on maternity after working there only 3 months (or less). I've not told them I'm pregnant.
Does anyone have experience of this?
Would they just extend my probation or would they let me go? Is there another option?

For context - in my current role the pay is very good and they have a good maternity policy but the management are toxic and almost gang up on staff. I have raised it as an issue and have been told I'm making it up and the other members of the team who raised it have quit so their words won't be taken into consideration.
DH thinks I should stay in my current role, then start at the new place after maternity (if they'd allow it) but i do not think I can deal with the treatment in my current place much longer

If you were joining my team, I wouldn't hold the position if you wanted to stay at your current place until after maternity.

I'd be happy for you to start pregnant though and would just continue the probation once you were back, or would sign you off if you impressed me in your first three months!

Thank you for the response, its good to know some places would be ok with pausing the probationary period.

We aren't concerned about the maternity pay, it is more if the new company could say I wouldn't fulfil probation if i took maternity leave mid way through or said the role was not available anymore before I started (once they find out I'll be 6 months pregnant on my start date)!
