Interview outcome

Hi all !

I had an interview this morning and everything went great ! They explained they will be in touch this afternoon with a decision, but I haven’t heard anything - am I being an over thinker ? When would be reasonable to send a email to ask about the outcome ?

I'd wait. I have never had an interviewer get back to me when they promised. they always take longer to decide than they mean to. Either another candidate reschedules for tomorrow, or they are just knackered after interviewing and decide to review the candidates when they are fresh next day. Sometimes they offer to one person and you are second choice and they are waiting to hear from person number one etc.

If you haven't heard by tomorrow afternoon, you could get in touch.

I was told I would get an answer that day, had just about given up and was having dinner when the phone rang...

Give it until at least until tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks for all your input and advice. I received a email saying they will get in touch with candidates sometime tomorrow. Fingers crossed I’ve got the job ! 😀

@Hmovingforward have you heard anything? I'm waiting for an interview outcome too and wondering whether to chase or just resign myself to the fact I haven't gotten it!

Hi , yes ! They called me 10 mins past their closing time yesterday and told me I’d gotten the job , so just waiting on an offer letter now.! I would chase up if I were you , they should at least give you a decision or a timeline on their decision. Good luck 🤞

Definitely the worst part - oh and then there’s the wait for the official offer letter 🤦🏽‍♀️🫣
