I'm currently on maternity allowance so not paid directly from my job (just missed cut off for SSP through the work as wasnt employed there long enough), my question is if I am planning on not returning to my previous job, the 10 keep in touch days that are allowed during maternity, could these potentially be done through a new job? I plan on working bank shifts only after maternity period with a different company so in theory could I work 10 shifts for them instead of previous employer or would my maternity allowance be stopped?
