Soooooo I was in a job for quite some years (part time) so left as needed full time hours. I got a new full time job but left after 3 months as absolutely hated the job ! I had never left employment after only such a short period of time before. I got a new job more local which I am now on my 6th week. I'm not particularly enjoying it. There are alot of silly rules, no flexibility what so ever, anyway, my old employer (where I left as I wanted full time hours) has now offered me a role with the hours I wanted. I'd love to take it, but I really don't like the idea of having 2 very short timed job roles on my cv ! What would you do ? Honestly

Take the first job back. When you update your CV for any potential further move, use months rather than dates against the roles, and leave the 6 week position off. You can explain it (if relevant) when you get to interview.

I think it will be fine. You know what you're going into at your old employer so chances are you'll be there several years again.
If you've been there for 5 years and apply for another job no-one will bat an eyelid. Just put it on cv as short-term/temporary contract.

I think as above pp has said, you could leave the shorter position off your CV. It looks quite flattering that previous employer has asked you to come back.
