Redundancy help

I got told today, that the company I work for will be closing on July 31st (voluntary insolvency).
They will not be able to pay our redundancy as they do not have the £ to cover, so we will have to claim this from the gov.

A couple of questions if anyone is able to help... ?

I am also self employed as such as I sell a few handmade items on Etsy (file a self assessment)
Will this in anyway affect my redundancy pay from my main job?

I was actually offered another job last week, which I was about to accept, starting in 4 weeks from handing in my notice, however, I know they will allow me start as early as September 4th.
If I start with them on September 4th, will this in anyway affect my redundancy?

Will I be able to claim the notice period after 12 weeks or does that get wiped as I will have a new job?

Thanks in advance!

Speak to ACAS, or check out their on-line guides. You may also have employment advice as part of your household insurance. https://www.acas.org.uk/redundancy
