New Career Anxiety

I am about to embark on a new career. I gave up my old job due to very low salary and little chance of career progression. I have spent a huge amount of time gaining new qualifications to enable me to start my new job (two years). I now have a formal to year training programme in order to qualify.

Now that I am faced with the reality of my new job (very long hours & high pressure) I am regretting my choice. I know it is for the best, and will allow for financial stability and personal growth. It is also a very in demand job so I am lucky to have got it. But I can’t help think I should have stuck with the lower pay but fulfilling job that I enjoyed. Are these just new starter nerves?
