'Talk about your CV' in an interview

Hi all, I've been invited to a 1st interview for a v senior role and been told that I will be asked to 'talk about your CV for 10-15 minutes'.
That's a really long time to talk about your CV!

Has anyone done this? How did you approach it?

I generally give a potted history but use it as a chance to focus on the skills I’ve demonstrated in previous roles that make me perfect for this role. It can help steer the rest of the interview in a positive direction. Good luck!

I’d start with “would it be helpful if I talked you through the roles which are most relevant to this one?” And when they say yes please, which they will, say “you mention that X is an issue, at XXX company I did Y and Z to resolve this” and then “in my most recent role I did XXX”

Don’t go back too far, they won’t care about 10 years ago. Stop after you’ve covered the experience relevant to the role and ask if there’s any other role they’d like you to talk them through. Good luck.

Start with your most recent role and aspirations moving forward, then then highlight previous roles that have led to this and tasks/projects directly relevant to this role - rather than starting at the beginning of your career and just going through in chronological order (snooze fest for everyone).

The advice above is good. I'd also suggest outlining the rationale for any changes in career direction / employer / gaps on your CV as they will be of interest.
