HELP!! Should I be leaving my job?

I love my job, especially who I work for, however...

The company has struggled due to people withholding funds and never paying on time, although this has never impacted me personally.

They have put me through one exam and have paid for me to do another, but I have been offered a life changing role.

The pay is almost double my current salary, the employee benefits are incredible and I feel I would do really well in the role (the same as what I currently do), not to mention it is fully remote.

I feel sad for the company I am leaving as I do think they have tried to make me feel appreciated and rewarded me in other ways when they couldn't financially (nominated me for national awards, given me lots of positive reinforcements in 121s).

I just feel sick about handing my notice in, although I can afford to repay them for the exam they have booked for me in for, I feel like I am massively giving up on them despite knowing I am grossly underpaid. What to do?!?!

This is the biggest no brainer ever. Take the job.

Have you been for an interview for the other job? If you've received an offer without one, I'd recommend going to see if the culture/vibe seems like a good fit.

Only you can decide but if you stayed, the pay and conditions remained as they currently are & you never got another offer do you think you'd regret your choice? If yes, might be time to move on but make it clear it's a great opportunity & you are very grateful for everything they've done.

100% take the job. You’ve admitted this company underpays you and that’s the only reason you need to give. Most people go to work for money, ‘positive feedback’ doesn’t pay bills.

I got made redundant last year after 10 years at a company. I did so much beyond my pay grade and very rarely had sick days. Now I have zero loyalty to companies and I do bare minimum. Go get your payrise!

Thank you, this is really helpful!

Sorry you had to go through what you did - it sucks!
