Always asked to cover at work

So after some advice. I work half at home remotely and half "in person" and constantly asked to cover shifts. I am told to come in on the days that I work remotely, but these are filled with online meetings and cannot be done on an in person shift, and unable reschedule without it eating into my home life.

I am made to feel guilty, and even called out when I can't come in on my days off.

What would you do as I am very anxious about it as this has been going on for about 5 years now.

I am a hard worker, always try to get everything done to the best of my ability but its such a small team and have no allies and a constant "me v them" environment.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Repeat the mantra. No. No no no no no. And remember that it's not your obligation to be the person available at all times.

No can do, I'm busy.
No, I'm not available.
No, not this time.
No, I'm in remote meetings all day.
No, I've got plans.
No, the meetings with x clients have to take priority.

Cheery, smiley responses. Block out your availability on your work calendar as NOT AVAILABLE for all meetings and all days off.

As my old mum used to say "a willing horse will always work". You need to pushback once in a while.
