I have been in my current role for 15 months, I am part of a small team and am the lowest banded. A large proportion of the team have a JD, but do not work to that JD as their role is seen as quite 'niche', and set up for particular people, getting to grips with this has been difficult as the tasks that are in their JD's but are not picked up through the roles they are doing come to me or a colleague.
When I have queried elements that either I or my colleague have done that is detailed in others JD I have pretty much been ignored, which is fine. My JD is pretty generic, so my query is how do I protect myself from being left to pick everything up, (which it feels like I do already do at times) without being seen as difficult. I largely enjoy my job, but the politics around who does what/JD's etc is soul destroying.
