I have recently started a new job and one of the businesses in our building is having a networking event with fairly high up, well do, important business people - I don't know who they are just that they are this type of clientele.
My boss wants me to go along with them - they will know alot of these people and are excellent at making small talk and conversation (they are a recruiter - I'm admin) I am not the most vocal at the best of times and am dreading this. What do/can say to these people, my career and life is boring and uninteresting as I can't imagine my boss will want me as their shadow?
