This has been playing on my mind for a long while now and I could do with impartial opinions.
I work for a medium but nationwide company and have been there for almost a decade.
I am based in the head office and it is very demanding, often stressful, workload large, at times unmanageable, but I stayed because the people were lovely and they are flexible around my kids and pay reasonably well.
Recently though, a lot of my colleagues who have been longer serving have been leaving. There's just a handful of us left who have worked there longer than 2 years and turnover of staff is high.
I am well aware of the problems causing people to leave but because of who my manager is I am quite sheltered from the majority.
I am becoming increasingly uncomfortable with how other staff members are being treated to the point I am seriously considering finding something else myself. They treat me well but it's down to moral compass, I don't think I want to work for a company like that.
Would you stay because, selfishly, you're still alright or would you cut and run?
