Interview tips legal secretary

I’ve got an interview as a legal secretary which I used to do before contracting. I’d really like to get back into this.

It’ll be scenario based tasks and a chat. Agency said they were a bit concerned due to my temp work. I actually left as my old boss was elderly, a bit deaf and not very nice (!) but he was due to retire. Then went to work for nutcase boss architect and left alter 2 months not on my CV.

What would you ask me? Any tips?

I'm a legal sec and have sat in on some interviews recently. We ask for examples of a difficult work problem you've come across and how you resolved it. So e.g. someone said they'd struggled with an excel task but had then booked themselves on a course afterwards to learn more about it. We also ask if you've worked with awkward people and how you dealt with them (sounds like you can answer that one!). You have to spin the answers so you turn the negative into a positive.

And we wouldn't be out off by your temp working - shows you've had to be flexible and learn new systems

Thanks for both your replies!

Ha ha awkward people eg colleagues and clients! Sometimes wonder why I’m going back into this area but I did enjoy it on the whole for 8 years!
