My partner has been offered a great role abroad. I currently work in-house at a great tech company and they won't let me work from abroad - so we have a tough choice to make. I could get a job in the country but it would be in a different area of law (likely litigation) and be in private practice. I can't quite imagine going back to private practice and billable hours. Has anyone made the move back? How did you find it? Or alternatively, has anyone worked offshore? How did that compare to working in London etc?
I don't want to leave my company but it is also an amazing opportunity for my partner and potentially an adventure. It is also meant to be a great place for having a family which we'd want to do soon. We'd go for 3 years minimum.
My partner isn't putting any pressure on me - he wants me to happy.
