Stay or leave current job

Hi,

I am currently doing a job that I absolutely love and have been there 7 months. Amazing people and really interesting work. However I have concerns about the financial stability of the company when it comes to pay day (small company that relies on funding etc). I’ve bought a new house and have two young children so the pay situation is stressing me out. I’ve never not been paid but sometimes it’s not till late on in the day till money is available and the odd month it’s a day late. Most people seem fine with this but it worries me. Going to move big bills to later in the month but my husband keeps saying this shouldn’t be needed and I do agree with him.

So would you stay or go? Thanks!

If it bothers you then yeah leave. You're not forced to work for the same place.

I'd look for something else but not move until I'd found the perfect alternative job

Keep an eye out for other jobs but don't move unless you are sure the new job is better

I'd want to know why the pay was at random times. Is it because of finances or due to the boss not pushing the button on time?

Thanks for the advice all! It’s sounded like the delay has been due to a late button click but there’s also been mention of waiting till money is found to pay staff.

I would start looking for a new job.
