I just wanted some advice from lawyers in the City or in PP.
I was in the City at the start of my career, magic circle. After a few years I moved on (wasn't keen on the hours) and joined Government. That worked really well for raising children and flexible working.
Still in government but now specialized in an area which is lucrative and I am being approached by city firms for jobs.
I am 43. I feel this is too old to go back and start being a senior associate or Counsel.
But in part this may be confidence, and a fear of working with associates much younger.
Has the City changed. I remember the hours and the need for stamina. I don't find my job hard anymore and bored. But I feel very old!
Is this realistic? My life currently is very stress free
