Screwing up new job

I’ve taken on a new job where our work is graded 1-4. Our targets are 98% of the work need to be grade 1. Grade 2-4 is seen as a failure. I’ve submitted 2 pieces of work in my first few months. Just found out they both have been given a “bad” grade. And annoyingly both for the same reason. I should have learnt from the first mistake but I interpreted the feedback incorrectly so messed up on the same point but for different reasons. How do I recover from this? I feel so stupid. I have a 100% failure rate and I’ve only been there a few months. I feel like I know my probation won’t be extended already.

You say you just found out the grades for both pieces of work. So you weren't told about the mistake on the first job before you submitted the second one?

Are the requirements to meet "grade 1" written down anywhere?

No I didn’t find out the first grade about a week before I submitted the second. I tried to make sure the points where addressed but I misunderstood something and in doing so caused the same error to happen again.

*oops that should say I did find out about the first error a week before I made the second. I just tried to correct it in the wrong way and in doing so made further mistakes

Yes they are one of the KPIs we are measured against month by month
