Commercial lawyers

Hello All

Are there any commercial lawyers here who have worked in the GLD or have worked with the organisation in the past?

I have an interview with the GLD for a commercial lawyer but am NQ so do not have massive amounts of experience. I have been told that as part of the interview process, candidates are to complete a written exercise and then prepare for an oral briefing.

I am in panic mode as I am really not good at this sort of thing especially in interview scenarios. I believe the issue I will have to deal with may be related to a legal problem in procurement (this is just a guess as the team deals with transactions) but all I am really after is some direction or advice from anyone who may have gone through this process.

What type of topic/exercise could I expect? If it is advising on a problem relating to a procurement issue what do I need to address/ think about?

I desperately need this break and not being able to prepare fully because I do not know what to expect and therefore not being able to give it my best shot is making me very anxious about the whole thing.

Any help/guidance will be really appreciated!

Thank you.

I've sent you a DM - I'm not GLD (private sector) but work in commercial contracts and procurement so hopefully can give you a few pointers
