Anyone else work in primary care and not heard anything from their managers regarding this? I’m support staff manager in a gp surgery and only found out about the offer online the GPS and practice manager haven’t mentioned it at all. Do they have to give this to us or can they decide to keep the money for themselves? I’m

GP surgeries generally set their own pay rates and don't always follow NHS pay awards. I'm not sure who the 6% covers as I work in NHS admin and we've already had the 5% rise this year.

It has been announced the GPs are getting a 6% uplift in funding to pass into their staff this is separate from the NHS pay award which isn’t applicable to primary care staff. This new announcement ok the 13th of July was for primary care.

If it's their funding uplift then I suppose morally it should go to staff. Going by the surgery I worked at you'd be lucky to see it. Hope you do get it as it's deserved.

Yes exactly @spurs4ever I don’t think we will see it!

We had an email from our PM at surgery a month ago to say the finer details on this were being sorted and we would hear in due course - not a lot seemed to me known about it. To date, nothing. I hope we do get something as our payrises have been 1-2% in the last 5 years. But as someone else has already said, wouldn't be surprised if it gets diverted to something or someone else!
