I've been having loads of time off due to dc's being unwell.......advice please!

I've got no one to look after my kids when they aren't well so I've had to take a lot of time off recently (can't remember such a sicky winter!!)

trouble is I'm in a new job and I get the feeling they are fed up with me, but it's genuine, it's my kids and there is no one but me there for them

am getting really worried about my new job, please can anyone offer advice, I work part time

also my job seems to be quite casual, I'm paid thru the books but haven't a contract, no sick days, no holidays I know this is weird but its all I can get that fits round the school timetable

If you are on the payroll then you should have a contract, regardless if you are part-time. Wrt to time off, you are entitled to time off for dependants. I dont understand about no holidays - you are entitled to holidays, although you say it is casual.

How long have you worked there? Has it been under a year?
