Hi,
I have 10 yrs of experience working at management level in the NHS (non clinical)
Other than taking my boss' role there is no progression. They are due to retire in 3 yrs but I honestly wouldn't want the job.

I have been looking elsewhere but am finding it difficult to apply for management roles as I have no management qualifications.

I am unable to take a pay cut and cannot retrain as that would also mean a pay cut plus have no idea what I would do as never had a dream job idea.

So I'm wondering if I should look at completing an ILM Level 5 in Leadership & Management certificate course. It's around 1k over 9 months in my own time.
It's a lot of money but I have savings or could pay monthly.

Anyone completed this course, did it help you?
Or have you favoured an applicant because they have this qualification?

Any advice welcome.

What kind of management roles have you been looking at that require specific management qualifications and aren't interested in experience?

Are you looking in the NHS? Or another particular field?

Not being snippy, just trying to build a picture (and bump your post).
