do you enjoy it? What does your day typically look like? Is there copywriting involved? Is it worth moving from marketing to this area?
asking as tempted to apply and have a marketing background.

It might help if you're a bit more specific with industry.

I'm in Financial Services consulting and there is no copywriting and no need for marketing (other than a general awareness). The key skill is project management.

Large part of my job as a Change Manager is stakeholder engagement (NHS) so I can't give you a typical Stakeholder Manager day.

There is some copy work but a lot of it is done by the comms people, we just look it over for language (checking it's not too technical so ALL our colleagues can understand the message, not just those who understand technical terminology) and ensure what they are putting out is correct (i.e. isn't putting into copy that project is delivering something it isn't). We do the same for training materials.

I think you could easily move from marketing into this but in my role it's very people focussed rather than general company branding. There is a lot of face to face, presenting, talking, meetings with everyone from the admin all the way up to C-Suite. Best part of the job for me is being able to meet everyone!

Stakeholder engagement for projects or stakeholder engagement for a company? There’s quite a big difference.
