I am a nurse in the nhs and have been working there for nearly a year and qualify for SMP. However, I am trying to join nhs professionals as a substantive member so I can pick up some extra shifts on my ward in order to save some money for may leave. If I join nhs professionals I know that I would not be entitled to SMP from them, however, as I would be a substantive member only would this impact my entitlement for SMP from my own trust?
