Does anyone currently work for YBS or have done previously? I have a job interview and am curious to hear about others experiences working for the company. Also, what is the current uniform? Do you get breaks? Do you feel supported by the company in general?

I did for about 15 years. Are you interviewing for a job in the branch network?

Another question about the financial background checks, what sort of things do they look into? I have no debts at all but have maybe been late at payments in the past or used things like klarna etc. Will this go against me?

Yes, it’s an in branch position.

So there is a uniform but it’s not the worse I’ve seen. I didn’t work in branch when there was a uniform so can’t tell you what it is like to wear.
You’ll get a lunch break and time away from the counter.
The culture of YBS depends on what area you work in. Some departments are great but like any big company some not so. It does generally treat its staff well though.
They do a full credit check (like any finance institution) defaults can go against you so if you’re asked come clean about them.
