Single mum here and trying to get a new job . Is dental nursing a good career to pursue? Thank you.

Lots of responsibility, stress for quite low pay unless you get into community or hospital job. Plus side everyone is desperate for dental nurses at the moment and if you take further qualifications other careers eg orthodontic therapist or dental therapist open up.
Many practices will train but at minimal cadet wages and quality of training will vary . Some places you will be thrown in at the deep end , others are better.
You will need hep b vaccination , DBS check and have all other vaccinations up to date . Practice will normally organise hep b vaccine.
