Locked out of Instagram work account - suspicious activity - going round in circles!

Morning!
I'm not sure if this is the right section, but I'm wasting hours and hours going around in circles trying to get back into my Instagram work account.
Looking for a computer guru.
I've had this account for around 8 years, it's a small account, around 600 followers/following, definitely not using any third party bots, not doing anything different.
Mid posting yesterday I was suddenly locked out, across all devices, with this message:
Your account was compromised
It looks like you shared your password with a service to help you get more likes or followers, which goes against our Community Guidelines.
Change your password to continue using Instagram. If you share your new password with one of these services, you may be blocked from following, liking or commenting.
There is a link to reset the password, but it just keeps going round in circles, sending me back again to the message above.
The email links - I get the email links and messenger links to reset my password, but same result as above.
There doesn't seem to be any way to contact Instagram about this.
I did find one form and filled it out, but it wouldn't sent as it said my account was active!
Other people have been able to view my page and say it looks normal.
I'm at my wits end!

Did you ever manage to resolve this??

I had exactly the same issue last year. I put it down to inactivity on my account (I hadn't posted in ages, or commented, etc) and like you, went in circles, unable to move from the loop of resetting the password.

It was a 'recreational' account, not work - mostly to follow crafters and share my own work. I lost that whole account; having tried to set up another one with the same IP address it just wouldn't let me. Eventually and weeks later, I set up an entirely new one using my husband's email address and using the internet of a local cafe to 'launch' it. This seemed to work for several months and I've upped my output. I now use it to show other people the sort of thing I'm making for sale, and it's also a really lovely, peaceful social media 'space' for me (basically I'm on there for certain sorts of craft, beachcoming and mudlarking!).

And yesterday it went again. No warning. Just got that blue message box. (I hadn't posted for 5 weeks over summer, wondered if that was why.) We got it started up by resetting the password (no loop this time) but a few minutes later it cut me out again. Tried again, new password, husband's email address. Got it back up and running.

This evening - it's gone again. I am starting to think it's doomed.

Hi, @GlomOfNit it's so frustrating.
I eventually got back on after about five days, by asking my son to walk me through it over the phone.
Even giving him my password and login details hadn't worked as he was just seeing what I was.
I think I went through the endless circle again, but really slowly while he talked me through it remotely.
I seem to recall a green bar which said reconfirm details?
I'd done that before but it hadn't worked, but this time it did - it sent a link to my email account and I was able to log back on as normal.
I don't know whether it was just coincidence that it worked again after a certain amount of time, or a blip in the system.
I'm so sorry I can't be more helpful, it's so frustrating as Instagram make it really difficult to contact them.

Thanks for responding - this was an old thread so I wasn't really expecting you to!

Well, I'm going to have another go. A friend checked on my instagram profile though and the screenshot shows my username but 'no posts' and no followers/following. Does that sound like a hack?? Or maybe it's just the default factory setting while they have me on ice at the moment. So frustrating!
