Customer pestering me

I use WhatsApp to contact an external contact from an account I manage. I have been nothing but professional but he is contacting me at other times and is being borderline inappropriate. I have ignored the irrelevant msgs but they are still coming.

What is the best way to manage this? It is an important account for my company.

Is there someone higher up in your company that you could speak to?

I would definitely raise with your manager.

Keep ignoring the inappropriate messages, hopefully they give up soon. If not, is there an option to change the account to someone else?

My manager is not sympathetic or helpful. Is HR the right avenue to go down? Just to make my concerns more official.

I would log it with HR and ask their advice, I think it's still harassment in the workplace and they need to keep you safe as their employer

@Workinggirl3573 definitely report to HR. This is unacceptable behaviour and your employer has a Duty of Care to protect you.

I would suggest you and HR draft an an email to him clearly stating that WhatsApp is for business communications only and he must desist from sending inappropriate non-business (add description) messages.
