Local Authority Interview - never asked for ID as stated

I had a much wanted interview today for a very technical role at the Local Government. All of the pre interview prep said they would be asking to see ID over Teams.

I interviewed with them last year for a role which I was offered (which I declined as they wouldnt agree to flexitime) and I was asked to show my passport via Teams which I did.

Anyway, they've left me waiting over the weekend which is painful 😂 but I'm obsessing over the fact they never asked to see my ID in the first place.

Is that a bad sign?

I interview for a local authority and do not ask to see id over teams. I only request Id when we have a preferred candidate and I would need to see it in person. I wouldn't worry too much they may be interviewing next week for the role

Thank you so much for replying @Louisetopaz21 - I shall calm down a bit then. They did send a whole email stating they'd ask to see it so I had it out ready to show them.

Their final interview was this afternoon at 5pm which they told me x

I’ve done 8 interviews this week - over 2 days - first day forgot to ask all of them for their ID - was human error but remembered for the second day 🤪

Oh and yes I did offer the job to one who interviewed on first day but asked them pop into the office with their ID- it’s just to confirm Right to work in the UK

Thank goodness - that makes me feel better!! @LifeIsGreatForUnicorns 🙏 thinking back - they simply ran out of time!! Teams was counting down seconds and everything...

They've left me hanging all weekend 😅

Oh god, today I find out if I got the job or not 😭 I'm so nervous
