I'm moving from one LA to another, fairly senior job, I need to give 3 months' notice.
I have an offer letter from the department but no contract from the LA. I've been "warned" that HR are rubbish and I likely won't get a contract until several months after I start.
I know this is not unusual in LAs, but it still seems like quite a risk to resign without seeing a contract for the new post.
Is there anything I can do to protect myself?
